I visited the Museum of Tolerance yesterday, which is why I wasn't online for most of the day. I've visited it twice before, so I had a general idea of what to expect. There were some new exhibits and I got a chance to listen to a survivor speak about his experiences. He quoted a letter in a book he has from a member of one of the police battalions that followed behind the German army on the Eastern front. Basically, the guy felt he was better than the others because he only killed children. After all, the others were killing the kids' mothers and fathers, and winter was coming, food would be scarce. He 'liberated' the children by killing them, so they wouldn't have to suffer from starvation and cold. He was proud of himself for doing that. *sigh*

There was a meeting about housing for the coming school year today and I got an application because I went to the meeting. There are dorms, apartments, and cottages on campus. Of the three, only dorms and cottages are furnished by the school. At the meeting, the guy in charge of housing stated that the school would be furnishing the apartments as well. They'd be providing beds (which they already do), desks, chairs, three-drawer chests, kitchen tables and chairs, and living area furniture. This is good news for people like me, who have no furniture, but the two women I want to room with already have furniture themselves, so what are they going to do with it? It's a knotty problem and I don't see an easy solution to it.

I tutored in history tonight and had fun, even though my mouth was starting to get dry towards the end. There's a reason one of my majors is history, after all. It helped both me and the person I was tutoring because I was, hopefully, helping them absorb the information while cementing it further in my own mind for future reference. I quoted 1776 a couple times because it helped me explain concepts better, and I even found myself referring to discussions in classes I'm currently taking. Was quite amusing.

Still the occasional cough and sniffle, but much better health-wise. I talked to one of the students who's taking my mom's class and she said that Mom is a good teacher. *grin* Made me very happy to hear it.
