An e-mail was sent out by the Post supervisor, saying there was an opening for a student worker for certain hours that I don't quite fit, because two of my classes are during those hours. It's almost impossible to find students who's availability will fit those times exactly unless they're graduate students. I e-mailed him to let him know I was willing to work outside the availability I gave him and he said he'd keep me in mind, because they'd have to do some adjusting once classes start. Basically, "we can't use you right now, but we might be able to use you." *grumble* Wish he'd just said, "Nope, sorry, can't use you." At least then there wouldn't be that one tiny shred of hope. I turned in an application for a job at the library, but I haven't heard anything and I probably won't until Tuesday at least because 1) It's now Saturday and 2) Monday is Labor Day, so no one will be working.
I spent a good portion of the morning packing everything up for my move on campus tomorrow and I'll spend a good portion of the afternoon doing the same thing. The waiting is annoying, can we just skip to tomorrow and get it over with?
