My Hero...

Yesterday morning, I noticed that my computer was running from its battery even though the adaptor was plugged in and everything. I tried everything I could think of to get the computer to see the adaptor, but nothing worked, so I turned off my laptop. When I got back to the apartment, I fiddled with it a bit more, but nothing worked, so I decided to wait until Dad could look at it. Of course, I didn't do the sensible thing like transfer files that I might need. I just goofed around until the battery was almost gone and turned it off. Nothing Dad or I tried worked, so we went to Circuit City to get a universal adaptor. That didn't work, either. I'm going to have to order a replacement from Dell. In the meantime, I'm stuck with our old laptop that takes forever to do things. *sigh* This is not going to be an easy week.
