My Hero...

It's been a few weeks since my last post. We were able to take my computer apart and clean out the worst of the dust. It works a lot better now. *grin* filodea got a new job that pays better and she likes a lot more than the one she had before. I visited the other two colleges I'm considering for my graduate degree and now I just need to decide if it's worth shelling out the money for applying to all three or only to a couple. I think it'll come down to the types of classes they offer. Though, there is the option to study abroad at the two I visited this week which I don't really get at the other one, but that doesn't remove it from my list.

I submitted a story I wrote to a writing contest on Gather.com yesterday and haven't heard back yet. It's the same one I mentioned to you, rumblepurr. They stated the word limit on the chapters in the rules themselves, but it's possible to have overlooked that. Anyway, the deadline for the contest is tomorrow, so we'll see how my story does. I'm still working on the other one that I started last June. It's already longer than the story I submitted for the contest and nowhere near finished. *giggle* Goes to show what taking time to work out a plot and characters does for you as a writer. *wink*
