My Hero...

The training for the tutoring center is going well. I've completed two sessions and two more will be taking place on the 23rd and 24th. I had to go to my alma mater to get a letter of recommendation from my previous supervisor and I visited with one of my professors while I was there. He gave me a history of the War of 1812, which was really sweet of him. He also gave me The Sunflower by Simon Wiesenthal before I graduated. This is the same professor who essentially chose the itinerary when I took the trip through Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany two years ago. Has it really been that long? Anyway, a friend of mine has been published. Her book is in stores now. I read the summary and it sounds interesting. If anyone would like to take a look, it's The Block by Katie Reyes. Just so everyone knows, I'll be visiting swingjungend from tomorrow until Sunday, so I'll be out of touch for that time. Just the usual sort of visit, really.
