My new toy is working out wonderfully. *grin* I'm very pleased with it and my brother seems quite content with my old laptop. So everyone's happy.

[livejournal.com profile] shinseikatsu came for a visit last weekend and she introduced me to Death Note, which I'd been wanting to see anyway. We also went to Victoria Gardens and wandered through there. It's very beautiful. I'd like to go again, when my stomach isn't too upset to enjoy the food.

I re-started my subscription to Netflix and have so far watched Much Ado About Nothing with Kenneth Branagh and Robert Sean Leonard, Prince Caspian and the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, mostly because Sam West plays King Caspian in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I love a man with curly hair. *grin* Then I rented Celtic Woman and greatly enjoyed it. To tell the truth, it's inspired some editing in a story I wrote. *sheepish* Tonight, I just finished watching Persuasion starring Amanda Root and CiarĂ¡n Hinds, though I again mostly watched it because Sam West played Mr Elliot. I enjoyed it all the same and look forward to watching the recent one with Anthony Stewart Head playing Sir Elliot and Rupert-Penry Jones as Captain Wentworth.

I have finals next Monday and Tuesday, then I'm working the rest of the week. I'll be free until summer school starts the beginning of June. I must use that time to get practice behind the wheel. My permit expires in September.

I sent an application to a Master's program that I can do online and received an e-mail from the assistant director, asking if I'd applied to the correct program. *giggle* I assured her that I had. She said they're waiving the application fee and just waiting on my transcripts. I'd already taken care of that, but I'd directed them to the wrong office. I only hope they can find them. If I get accepted into the program, I'll have to do residencies before each semester in Vermont. My first one would be this December. White Christmas keeps coming to mind when I think of that. *wink* One of the residencies will be abroad, most likely Slovenia. The traveller in me is jumping at the thought. First I have to get accepted. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers, please!

If I do get accepted, I'll probably look for another job, one closer to home so I won't have to commute so far and spend less on gas. For now, it's just easier to work at the college.
