Almost three weeks since my last post? Tsk, tsk. I have no excuse. I'm just lazy. *grin*

Let's see, what's happened since then?

[livejournal.com profile] shinseikatsu came for a visit May 25th through 28th. We started watching Chevalier D'Eon (which I still need to finish watching), visited Victoria Gardens (with [livejournal.com profile] umbralillium and [livejournal.com profile] darquing), and role played. I'm pretty sure we watched a couple movies, too, but I can't remember which ones. *sheepish* When she returned home, [livejournal.com profile] umbralillium went with her and came home Saturday. That evening, my whole family went to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I quite enjoyed it, but the ants was overdoing it. I don't mind spiders, snakes, scorpions, and so on, but ants are a bit much. especially when they're on the big theatre screen. *shudders* I don't care how old Harrison Ford is, he looked damn fine! *grin*

Last Monday, I wanted to get out of the house, so I went with [livejournal.com profile] filodea, [livejournal.com profile] umbralillium, and my twin, Ann, to the mall. My sisters were getting their hair cut and dyed and [livejournal.com profile] filodea was paying for it. I wandered over to Waldenbooks and bought the first volume of the Deathnote manga and a copy of Howard's End by E.M. Forster. I went back later to see if they had any mysteries by Dorothy L. Sayers, particularly her Peter Wimsey ones. Sadly, they didn't. We visited the new library in town (it opened in April) and they had all of her stories collected into one volume. One of the stories I've read so far I figured out the key clue without realizing I had. *is surprised*

Then, on Saturday, [livejournal.com profile] shinseikatsu came out for another visit because she was bored at home. She, [livejournal.com profile] darquing, and I went to Victoria Gardens again. I wanted to get the next Card Captor Sakura manga volume or the next Deathnote manga volume, but they didn't have either. *pouts* So I got the original Broadway soundtrack of Spamalot instead. David Hyde Pierce plays Sir Robin the Brave, Hank Azaria plays Sir Lancelot, Christopher Sieber plays Sir Galahad, Steven Rosen plays Sir Belvedere, and Tim Curry plays King Arthur. *giggles madly* [livejournal.com profile] shinseikatsu and I saw The Strangers at the theatre out there while [livejournal.com profile] darquing saw Kung Fu Panda. I enjoyed The Strangers more than I thought I would. *grin* It was creepy in a very intellectual and psychological way. We watched a movie called Shinobi: Heart Under Blade that evening that was really cool. The powers the different characters had were really awesome. Then, the next day, [livejournal.com profile] shinseikatsu and I went to see Kung Fu Panda at a theatre near where I live. It was really funny and I like the message, but the theatre wasn't the best. I suppose you get what you pay for (it was cheaper than pretty much any other theatre). Then [livejournal.com profile] shinseikatsu went home on Wednesday.

I found out Sunday evening that I won't be working at Chaffey this summer because my supervisor only has enough money for five workers aside from the contract people (they're guaranteed work), and I guess there were enough people with more seniority than me. So I applied at Borders online and there's a tutoring place in town that I might be able to apply to for work. I just need to get off my butt and go there. *sigh*

I did find out my other grade: A-. So I did good last semester. *is proud of self* I've also been working on a slashy modern AU of Our Mutual Friend that I'm planning on turning into an original work. It's over 13,000 words long and I'm nowhere near done. *grin* I haven't heard from the Master's Program yet, but the deadline for the spring semester is September 1st, so I might not hear from them until then anyway. Here's hoping! *crosses fingers*
