My Hero...

I've found a new obsession, aside from National Treasure: it's Tin Man! Starring Zooey Deschanel, Neal McDonough, Alan Cumming, Raoul Trujillo, Kathleen Robertson, and Richard Dreyfuss, it took the classic Wizard of Oz story by L. Frank Baum and re-worked it with addition science fiction and fantasy elements. Zooey plays DG, a modern young woman transported via twister to the Outer Zone (the O.Z.), where she meets Alan as Glitch, Neal as Cain, and Raoul as Raw. That's only the beginning of their journey and me being the slasher that I am, can't help pairing Glitch and Cain. They're such opposites that it works. *grin* Hence my new layout. The caps for the banner came from dj_capslock, but I made it myself.

Otherwise, the rest of the semester went fine. I got all A's in my classes and I'm going back to work tomorrow. I've been planning to take Calculus I over the summer, but it's been such a hassle that I may wait until the fall after all. It'd mean I won't be able to do anything for the Peace Corps until next summer at the earliest, but it'll save me the headache of making sure I get my transcripts from one school to another in time to register for classes and such. *sigh* Bureaucracy, don't you just love it? Another plus with working is that Mom is, too, and we'll be carpooling! It'll save my H.O.J. the stress and me the gas money so I can save it up for the trip to Utah with stalwartspirit and myst_walker! W00t!

So, yes, that's it for me. I really need to get back to writing original works. I can't get published if I don't write anything to be published.
